The Virtues of Apple Cider Vinegar

Raw apple cider vinegar helps maintain the proper acid-alkaline balance (pH) within cells. To function properly each cell should be alkaline at the center and acid toward the surface. Ideally alkalinity at the center of the cell should be based on calcium. The proper degree of acidity in the outer area may be achieved or maintained by simply adding raw apple cider vinegar to one's diet.

Cellular pH Influences Cellular Metabolism

The rate of metabolism within each cell is directly related to the difference between the pH at the center of the cell and the pH at its perimeter. If there is not enough difference, the metabolism within the cell is slow. The more difference in pH there is, the faster the metabolism. A faster metabolism is more desirable than a slow one, so bring on the apple cider vinegar!

Another benefit associated with apple cider vinegar is its ability to break up large-sized calcium in the body. Calcium naturally occurs as a compound molecule. It wants to bonded to something. That's why most calcium supplements are calcium carbonate, calcium lactate, calcium citrate or some other calcium compound.

The Problem with Calcium Compound Molecules

Most calcium compound molecules are physically larger than our cells. Obviously if something is bigger than the cell, it isn't going to be taken into the cell. If the body is unable to break apart that calcium compound molecule, it remains too large to be used.

Even though that calcium is the wrong size, the body still recognizes it as calcium. If there is an inadequate supply of small useable calcium, then the body will hold onto the large calcium. Deposits may develop.

Calcium Deposits Inside the Body

Some of you are familiar with the discomfort caused by calcium deposits in joints. What about calcium kidney stones, gall stones and hardening (calcification) of the arteries? Large unusable calcium is involved in all these conditions.

Calcium deposits may also form in the body if large calcium comes into the body faster than it can be removed. For instance if a person's drinking water has a high calcium content, the person may get enough small useable calcium to satisfy the body's needs (there's always at least a tiny percentage that is usable), but the person still develops arthritis or kidney stones. That's because the large-sized calcium clumps together before the body manages to dispose of it.

Apple Cider Vinegar Helps

Whether calcium deposits are the result of a inadequate supply of usable calcium or from an over abundance of large calcium, apple cider vinegar is beneficial. It has the ability to break up the large calcium enough to be expelled from the body.

One ounce (2 tablespoonfuls) of raw apple cider vinegar each day works wonders! It not only helps keep joints flexible and free moving, but it also improves metabolism, helps reduce cholesterol levels, helps control blood pressure and reduces the pain associated with calcium deposits. Raw apple cider vinegar may be taken in a glassful of water or used in salad dressings. It doesn't matter if it is taken alone or with meals. It works either way, so why not find some new ways to add apple cider vinegar to your regular diet?

Apple cider vinegar is available at most grocery stores. Should you have difficulty swallowing the liquid vinegar, you may want to consider using apple cider vinegar tablets. They should also be available in your grocery store or at your local health food store.
